some say daughter of Enki and Ninkurra.
Enki fathered Ninsar on Ninhursaga, then Ninkurra on Ninsar and finally Uttu on Ninkurra, each birth requiring only a nine-day gestation.
Other accounts say that she was Ninhursaga's daughter.
When Enki then ate Uttu's children, Ninhursag cursed him with eight wounds and disappears.
Uttu in Sumerian means "the woven" and she was illustrated as a spider in a web.
She is a goddess in the pantheon...
